Baltimore smolders after riot over black man's police-custody death

(Reuters) - Baltimore residents on Tuesday began to clear the wreckage of rioting and fires that erupted after the funeral of a 25-year-old black man who died in police custody, while the city's mayor defended local law enforcement's light initial response.

Acrid smoke hung over streets where violence broke out just blocks from Freddie Gray's funeral and spread through much of the poor West Baltimore neighborhood. Nineteen buildings and 144 vehicles were set on fire, and 202 people were arrested, according to the mayor's office.

Police said 15 officers were injured, six seriously, in Monday's unrest, which spread throughout the city as police initially looked on but did not interfere as rioters torched vehicles and later businesses.

Baltimore flared up in violence on Monday night as hundreds of rioters protested the death of Freddie Gray, a black man who died after suffering a spinal injury in police custody

Must read: 5 THINGS YOU PROBABLY NEVER KNEW YOUR MOBILE PHONE COULD DO

There are a few things that can be done in times of grave emergencies. .  Your mobile phone can actually be a life saver or an emergency tool for survival.  Check out the things that you can do with it:

đŸŸFIRST:   Emergency
The Emergency Number worldwide for Mobile  is 112.
If you find yourself out of the coverage area of  your mobile; network and there is an emergency,
dial 112 and the mobile will search any existing network to establish the emergency number for you, and interestingly this number 112 can be dialled even if the keypad is locked. Try it out...

đŸŸSECOND: Have you locked your keys in the car?
Does your car have remote keyless entry?   This may come in handy someday.
Good reason to own a cell phone: If you lock your keys in the car and the spare keys are at home, call someone at home on their mobile phone from your cell phone.
Hold your cell phone about a foot from your car door and have the person at your home press the unlock button,  holding it near the mobile phone on their end.   Your car will unlock.

Saves someone from having to drive your keys to you.

Distance is no object.  You could be hundreds of miles away, and if you can reach someone who has  the other ' remote ' for your car, you can unlock the doors (or the trunk)...

Editor ' s Note: It works fine! We tried it out and  it unlocked our car over a mobile phone! '

đŸŸTHIRD:   Hidden   Battery  Power
Imagine your mobile battery is very low.  To activate, press the keys *3370#
Your mobile will restart with this reserve and the instrument will show a 50% increase in battery.
This reserve will get charged when you charge your mobile next time.

đŸŸFOURTH:   How to disable a STOLEN mobile phone?
To check your Mobile phone ' s serial number,  key in the following digits on your phone: * # 0 6 #
A 15 digit code will appear on the screen.  This number is unique to your handset..

Write it down and keep it somewhere safe.  When your phone get stolen, you can phone  your service provider and give them this code.  They will then be able to block your handset so even if the thief changes the SIM card,  your phone will be totally useless.

You probably won ' t get your phone back,  but at least you know that whoever stole it can ' t use/sell it either.  If everybody does this, there would be  no point in people stealing mobile phones.

đŸŸFIFTH : ATM - PIN Number Reversal - Good to Know
If you should ever be forced by a robber to withdraw money from an ATM machine, you can
notify the police by entering your PIN # in reverse. For example, if your pin number is 1234,
then you would put in 4321.

The ATM system recognizes that your PIN number is backwards from the ATM card you placed in the machine.   The machine will still give you the money you requested,  but unknown to the robber, the police will be immediately dispatched to the location.

This information was recently broadcast on CTV by Crime Stoppers however it is seldom used because people just don ' t know about it......   Please pass this along to everyone.

The Peace Conference which was held at the Ladi Kwali Hall of the Sheraton Hotel, Abuja with the theme: ‘The role of the Nigerian youth and the media in general election.’ attracted several field of personalities and indivuidals.

Participants at the conference discussed the issue of youth restiveness and called on Nigerians to come out en mass to vote and chose the eight candidates of their choice that would shape the future of the country.

The aim of the conference was to sensitise Nigerians on the need to have peaceful elections, security assurance as, well as promoting the ideals of peaceful living before, during and after the elections.
“We also intend to promote ideals that will increase good relationship amongst others in Nigeria, especially among the youth.

Speaking at the event, the PMAN governor, Collins Adeyemi urged the youth to refuse to be used by wicked politicians to forment trouble. He also told them to see the forum and similar ones as a means of shaping their future ambitions.

Ambassador Kingsley Amafibe, CEO Peace Ambassador Agency, organisers of Miss Ambassador for Peace Nigeria said the electoral body should ensure the general elections were free, fair and credible and without violence, and the security agencies must be impartial and provide adequate security for all Nigerians. He also urged the youth to make up their minds to stand against any form of violence before, during and after the elections.

When you are in a small community like in the office and a negative conversation ensues, you have the right to change the conversation to the positive. You have the choice to lead or react. Everyone could become a positive representative of the future generation. Because politicians never send their children to fight, so we must change. Leaders are dealers. I refuse to agree that this country will disintegrate,” he said.

MAIDUGURI—THE President-elect General Muhammadu Buhari, rtd, Sunday said his administration would accord priority to ending the Boko Haram insurgency to bring stability in the north east geopolitical zone as well as focus on re-activating the Lake Chad.

Buhari however said that his third priority would be to deploy the enormous resources in the region through vigorous search for oil along the Chad Basin and parts of Borno State.

He spoke at his residence in Kaduna while responding to requests made by Governor Kashim Shettima, the Shehu of Borno, Alhaji Abubakar Ibn Umar Garbai Elkanemi and some elders of the state who formed the delegation from Borno State that travelled to pay him a congratulatory visit.
Buhari said he was very much aware of the problems of the north east region and would not waste time in resolving them one after the other.
On Boko Haram, he said his administration will enhance collaboration with neighbouring countries governments like Chad, Niger and Cameroon to curtail the trans- border movements of Boko Haram insurgents, adding that this would lead to the cutting off of supply of arms, recruitment and training of fresh combatants for the insurgents.
According to him, the stability of the north east was a must project for his administration even as nothing could be achieved unless peace was restored to the troubled region.

The President-elect also assured the delegation that the issue of the receding of Lake Chad would be tackled through the transfer of water from the central African Republic to the lake to boost its use for fishing and irrigation farming. He recalled that he once read a document which raised fears over the receding of the Lake Chad and handed same over to then President Olusegun Obasanjo, pointing out that he was coming in as President, he will handle the matter frontally as the Lake had the potentials to create millions of jobs through irrigation and many other commercial uses it had been associated with over the years.

Buhari said he had suggested many years ago, the need to take the search for oil in the north seriously not only to increase the export potentials of Nigeria but also to balance cross regional perceptions and manage agitations so as to enhance the stability of the country. He promised to pay special attention to the economic potentials of the northeast so as to make it attractive for investments.

Governor Kashim Shettima who led the delegation had earlier said that they visited Buhari to congratulate him over his historic victory at the polls. and to also remind him of problems affecting Borno State which he already knew.

Shettima said the people of Borno felt attached to Buhari given his background as someone that served as military governor in the state, adding that the citizens looked up to him with so much hope because he was very much familiar with their problems.

Now, when it comes to pubic hair – shaving it or not, the first factor to be considered it health, then comfort, then physical appeal.
In the end however, it all boils down to personal choice.

There are people who get turned up by long, curly pubic hair and there are those who cannot deal with a pubic region that is not as clean-shaven as Stone Cold Steve Austin’s head.

Still, no matter your preference, you must know these 6 benefits of shaving:

A shaved pubic region is cleaner and healthier. How? One of the places affected by our daily activities is the crotch; sweat and dirt gather there and soon mixes with bacteria, clinging to pubic hair. When you bather, a portion of the clinging dirt remains and soon birth infections. If you are shaven, however, a simple hand-rub leaves you clean.

A shave pubic region has less risk of odour. When you don’t wash of the clingy dirt, your next sweaty session will create odour. Because the crotch does not have enough air circulation the odour soon becomes noticeable and pungent. So, why not shave?

A shaved pubic region is less prone to cuts during sex. Sometimes, when sex involves hairy joystick/vagina, the hair gets in the way and causes cuts in the genitals or condoms. These cuts could be open doorways to infections.

A shaved joystick looked longer, bigger. When you have a farm around your joystick, it looks smaller. Shaves, the joystick borrows some illusory added length.

A shaved vagina/joystick looks inviting, ready for oral pleasure. The average woman/man will be more willing to tongue-please a shaved joystick/vagina than a bushy one. If you want to get really intimate, then stay well groomed down there.

A shaved pubic region allows for more sexual sensitivity. All the skin in the pubic region is sensitive – covering it with a garden is reducing the pleasure area. Shave and allow for direct skin-to-skin contact and of course more pleasure.

For those who still don’t want to shave, make sure you wash your pubic region every well; wear underwear that allow more air circulation; change underwear frequently and keep it short.

3year old girl who was abducted in Lagos, has been found in Ogun

On Sunday, April 19, two unidentified men sneaked into the Surulere Baptist Church, Ojuelegba Road, Lagos State premises and abducted a three-year-old girl, Oluwabunmi Ajelero.

According to reports by Punch, the girl was playing with other children on the church premises at about 1pm when the kidnappers came in through the back of the church and tricked her out with Gala before whisking her away on a motorcycle.

Oluwabunmi’s parents and other members of the church were inside the church immersed in the service when the incident happened.

The service stopped when one of the toddler’s playmates alerted the congregation to the incident.

Apparently, the captors had pretended as members of the church and established rapport with children in the church.

The victim’s father, Oladapo Ajelero, said the captors had contacted him on the phone after, telling him to cooperate. He, however, said they had yet to request any ransom.

He said, “It happened around 1pm on Sunday. The children finished their service before us and were playing on the church premises; Oluwabunmi was among them.

“Suddenly, one of her friends rushed in and said two men had lured and taken her away through the back of the church. Some people in the area said they saw her sitting between two men on a motorcycle. I learnt they escaped through Nathan Street.

“Our hearts are broken, we don’t know what to do anymore. They have called and instructed me to cooperate. I am still expecting their calls, but for now they have not asked for any ransom.”

Oladapo explained further that one of his relatives went to Surulere Police Station to report, but he was told to come back and make a formal statement after 24 hours of the girl’s abduction.

The little girl has now been found and rescued in Abeokuta, Ogun State, on Monday by the police and reunited with her parents.

The Lagos Police spokesperson, DSP Kenneth Nwosu said Olawunmi had been rescued by a police team drawn from divisions in the state, adding that he was not aware that the family paid any ransom.

He said, “The child has been found in Abeokuta, Ogun State and reunited with her parents. Investigations are ongoing to track down the kidnappers.”

10 Things Nobody Tells You...just Know It's Time To Quit Your Job

Image result for quit your job
Dissatisfaction with own work is not such a rare occurrence among the company's employees. There are many reasons and they are all different and individual, but in most cases the problem is quite banal and can be easily solved. But what signs are worth paying attention when it is necessary to think about the possible change of employer and finding a new job?

№1 - Your work is not appreciated

An employee, who honestly fulfills the work duties, wishes that his/her efforts have been appreciated. However, if you notice that the results of your work are simply ignored for a fairly long time, and your remarks are neglected by management, it is worth considering - do you want to work in the place where you will never get the right incentive for further development and professional fulfillment?

A good leader will always take into account the ideas and suggestions, especially if they are aimed at increasing income of the company, improving the quality of services or attracting more customers.

№2 - Work has become a monotonous routine

This problem has plagued a huge amount of employees, which can cause not only the disgust for work, but to provoke the onset of depression. If you notice that you spend more and more working hours for unnecessary activities (social networks, virtual games, etc.) instead of directly performing your work responsibilities, maybe, you just need a new, more interesting job?

№3 - The uncertainty in the professional responsibilities

Ask to indicate clearly what professional responsibilities are included for your post during the job interview. Performing other instructions especially those which are completely different from the necessary requirements and which are not stipulated in the employment contract, may be a sign that the company simply exploits the labor of specialists to save its own funds or the financial situation of the enterprise has huge problems.

№4 - Management does not respect workers

Rules of professional etiquette should be performed by not only ordinary employees, but the company's management too. However, it often happens that the chief does not show the signs of respect and the availability of basic business skills, but also allows rude expressions and uncomplimentary statements to address of other workers. Is it worth work in the organization where comfortable and efficient work is impossible because of a strained working atmosphere?

№5 - Constant stress in the workplace

Unfavorable situation in the collective, moral pressure of the management, requirements of executing large volumes of work in a very short period of time, the constant delays in payment of wages - these and other reasons may be a source of constant stress, which can adversely affect the general health and mental state.

Consider whether it is possible to exclude these factors or to reduce their negative impact, or does the dismissal and job change is the only way to preserve your own health?

№6 - The company is not interested in your professional development

Typically, companies that wish to remain competitive, pay great attention to the professional self-development of its staff. This is not surprising, because the firm's revenue and its reputation depend on the qualitative work of the team. The employees who see that the organization has the ability to invest its own funds and is interested in their career development, will greater appreciate their own work and perform the professional duties more responsibly.

№7 - Colleagues irritate you all the time

Good and friendly atmosphere in the team is an important factor for a good performance of work. It is unlikely you will be able to be satisfied with your own job if you're to conflict with colleagues or to work under pressure. If you do not see the ways for improving the relations with co-workers and are forced to be constantly stressed, consider whether you can further carry out your professional duties in such circumstances qualitatively.

№8 - You are not offered the career growth

Career growth is the goal of almost every employee. Not surprisingly that the majority of candidates are constantly trying to raise their level in order to obtain professional advancement. However, if work is well done but the management has not offered higher wages or more promising positions for the past 2-3 years, then you can hardly expect favorable offer in the future.

№9 - Inadequate level of salary

Regular delays or too small wages is unlikely to be a good motivation for further work. Analyze your own skills and qualities, define with the desired level of income and post resumes on the site. Be sure to include not only professional achievements and skills, but also the correct phone and electronic contacts.

№10 - You do not want to go to work

Have you increasingly begun to notice that you are looking forward for the days off and daily going to work have turned into a boring routine? If tiredness or need for the rest is not the cause of such a state, you should decide which position you really require and what working conditions must have a company of your dream.

Photos: “Fish Rain” In Thailand Fishes Gets Litters All Over the Streets After Rainfall in Thailand, amid surprise of passersby hundreds of fishes had flown to the banks of seashore and on the road. Most of fishes found dead. It appeared as if Thailand received a Fish rain. Some passersby try to save fish. The rainy season in Thailand varies from region to region. Very broadly speaking, Thailand’s rainy season can be classified as May/June to October. The river fishing season in Khao Sok National Park is influenced by the monsoon winds from both the Indian and Pacific Ocean. Our fishing locations inside Khao Sok National Park consist of 3 big rivers and 4 smaller streams. All are connected with Cheow Lan Lake. The Bungalow on the lake is placed so that gives us a choice of rivers from different catchment systems. Some people say that fly fishing the Jungle Rivers is difficult. We would say that it’s not difficult but it is different.
